About the Media Toolkit

In 1999 the Pennsylvania Environmental Education and the Media Group (PEEMG) was created to:

provide a strategy to increase coverage of "mainstream" environmental education and associated projects and programs in Pennsylvania.
develop some tips and examples of how to successfully interact with the press.

The work group was developed following two media workshops entitled Raising the Profile. held in December 1998 and March 1999 at Kings Gap Environmental Center in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. National Environmental Education Advancement Project (NEEAP), the National Environmental Education Training Foundation (NEETF) and PCEE provided funding for the workshops.
