Snee-Reinhardt Charitable Foundation

The environmental program supports natural resource conservation, beautification, environmental education, and horticulture /botanical programs. Grant amounts range from $3,600-$20,000.

Sportfishing & Aquatic Resource Education Grant Program

The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission is looking for fishing and aquatic education programs involved in offering sportfishing and aquatic resource education programming. Grants up to $5,000 will be given to providers. Programs must occur between July 1, 2007 and June 30, 2008. This funding can be applied to the purchase of equipment, materials and costs associated with field trips.

State Farm Good Neighbor Service-Learning Grant

Youth Service America and the State Farm Companies Foundation are offering the State Farm Good Neighbor Service-Learning Grant for youth across the United States. These grants of up to $1,000 each support youth teachers or service-learning coordinators in implementing projects for National and Global Youth Service Day.

Stewardship Grants Program

The Stewardship Grants program provides resources to watershed associations, citizen groups, volunteers, teachers and students who work to protect and preserve the Chesapeake Bay and its rivers through on-the-ground restoration and demonstration projects.  Stewardship grant awards are between $5,001 and $25,000 for projects that address one or more of the Trust's grantmaking priorities. 

Surdna Foundation

The Surdna Foundation's goal is to prevent irreversible damage to the environment; support government, private, and voluntary actions that will produce a sustainable environment; and foster a population of environmentally informed citizens. Interests include biological and cultural diversity, energy and transportation, and restoring the environment in urban and suburban areas.

Targeted Watershed Grants

The Environmental Protection Agency invites governors and tribal leaders to nominate their leading watersheds organizations for Targeted Watershed Grants totaling $16 million.

Temper of the Times Foundation

Temper of the Times Foundation provides funds to promote the use of standard marketing concepts to increase environmental awareness and to underwrite advertising designed to promote the conservation and restoration of native wildlife, plants, and ecosystems in the United States.

Tom's of Maine Grants

Tom's of Maine awards grants in nationally and Maine. In the environment category, they favor programs that address animal welfare, protection and conservation of natural resources, wildlife, wildlife habitat, and other issues related to biodiversity and a sustainable planet.

Toshiba American Foundation Grants

The mission of Toshiba America Foundation is to promote quality science and mathematics education in U.S. schools. Grants are made for programs and activities that improve teaching and learning in science and mathematics, grades K-12.

Toyota TAPESTRY Grant Program

Toyota TAPESTRY recognizes educators who are making a difference by demonstrating excellence and creativity in science teaching. Since 1991 the program has awarded more than $7 million to 826 teams of teachers for innovative science classroom projects.

Toyota USA Foundation

The Toyota USA Foundation is committed to improving the quality of K-12 education by supporting innovative programs that improve the teaching and learning of mathematics and science. A high priority is placed on the following: systemic math and science programs which are broad in scope and incorporate interdisciplinary curriculum; creative and innovative programs which develop the potential of students and/or teachers; and c ost-effective programs that possess a high potential for success with relatively low duplication of effort.

Valley Creek Council Grant Program

The Valley Creek Trustee Council, comprised of the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission and the National Park Service, oversees a grant program to provide funding for restoration of the Valley Creek Watershed in Chester County, PA. The goal of this funding is to improve trout habitat and angler access through implementation of projects related to stormwater management, streambank stabilization, implementation of environmentally sensitive land practices (e.g. easements, land purchase for preservation), and projects that directly improve angler access (e.g. trails). Anyone is eligible to apply!

Volvo Adventure Award

In partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme - is an educational programme that rewards environmental activities among the decision makers of the future. Environmental projects are undertaken by young people to improve their local environment. The projects are published on these webpages and the best projects will be selected for an all expenses paid trip to Sweden.

Water Resources Education Network (WREN)

Grants and award opportunities are posted from WREN and other environmental organizations which are currently available.

Weyerhaeuser Family Foundation Grants

Any program that fall within the fields of conservation and improvement of the environment, education and training, forestry, and ecosystem management along with others are included in consideration of the foundation. Types of support include program development and seed grants. The foundation prefers to concentrate on US programs with a national or international types of support include matching gifts, program grants, and scholarships.

William Penn Foundation

The William Penn Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life in the Greater Philadelphia region through efforts that foster rich cultural expression, strengthen children’s futures, and deepen connections to nature and community.

Youth Garden Grants Program

NGA awards Youth Garden Grants to schools and community organizations with child-centered, outdoor garden programs. Priority will be given to programs that emphasize one or more of these elements: educational focus or curricular/program integration; nutrition or plant-to-food connections; environmental awareness/education; entrepreneurship; and social aspects of gardening such as leadership development, team building, community support, or service-learning.
