Nature Observer
News
Nature Observer News focuses on education efforts on birds,
bird lifecycles, birds' natural habitats, and needs and challenges
of birds.
Fees: $150 for single classroom presentations/ $350
for
assemblies or a full day of classroom presentations.
Other Services: Grades K-8
In-school programs: Kindergarten,and first grade
presentation that introduces birds and includes a live bird
demonstration,
a second grade "Hummingbird Journey" program with
a live bird demonstration that explores bird migration,
a
third through eighth grade program that investigates birds
of prey.
Demonstration birds include doves, an Eastern Screech Owl
and a
Red-tailed Hawk.
In addition the Nature Observer presents an interactive classroom
presentation on eggs and embryonic development suitable for
third and fourth grade that compliments incubator projects.
Live birds are also used in this presentation.
Also the Nature Observer presents an interactive program
on the Owls of Pennsylvania that compliments owl pellet
projects. Program
length is 45 minutes.
