Pennsylvania celebrates Endangered Species Day on May 18th! The goal of Endangered Species Day is to educate people about the importance of protecting and recovering rare, threatened, and endangered animal and plant species.

With over 1,800 species worldwide listed as threatened and endangered, and thousands more facing extinction unless they are protected, every public education
effort is greatly needed.
