Question of the Week:
April 15th through April 22nd is National Environmental Education Week! National Environmental Education Week is the largest organized environmental education event in U.S. history. It increases the educational impact of Earth Day (April 22nd) by creating a full week of educational preparation, learning, and activities.

Many Earth Day activities focus on how we can
reduce our energy consumption and make energy efficiency part of our everyday lives.
Currently, the United States uses a lot of energy- nearly a million dollars worth each minute for 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

Through energy efficiency, consumers can save money on their energy bills, increase their comfort, and even reduce their impact on the environment.

"My family uses energy efficient light bulbs and appliances.We also use the air dry function on the dishwasher. In addition, we turn off lights when not in a room. We also hope to participate in the tree planting activity in Norwood."
