More than 350 of Pennsylvania's native species are currently at risk of being lost from the state.

The loss of species is caused by pollution, non-native species, and habitat destruction; such as clearing land for agriculture, residential and industrial development.

Some species are more susceptible to becoming endangered than other species.

What makes some species more vulnerable to habitat disturbances?

(Check all that apply)

low population numbers
adapt easily to change
higher population numbers
they live in a specific place, such as a bog
they only eat certain food
