Even though it's still cold outside, the Earth's temperature is rising due to global warming.

It's well accepted by scientists that greenhouse gases, like carbon dioxide (CO 2), trap heat in the Earth's atmosphere.

By increasing the levels of greenhouse gases, human activities are heating up the Earth.
