This is the time of year when we give thanks for our prosperity, often over a delicious turkey feast. But did you know that not all turkeys are alike?

Turkeys can be members of a special variety of livestock known as "heritage breed." These turkey breeds are not commonly found in supermarkets or on our Thanksgiving tables. Today, heritage breeds are making a comeback, as farmers recognize the importance of preserving agricultural variety and biodiversity.

Below are some statements about heritage turkeys. Choose True (T) or False (F) for each statement.

Heritage turkeys are known for their rich flavor and glorious plummage.

Broad Breasted White turkeys are a heritage breed.

Heritage turkeys are so flavorful because of their diverse diets and long life-spans.
