Environmental Education Inclusion in the No Child Left Behind Act; PCEE Releases Annual Report

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation, North American Association for Environmental Education, Center for Environmental Literacy and others are working to change the No Child Left Behind Act to include environmental education. The environmental education language will provide funding for state environmental education standards, create a grant program for teacher training and include environmental education as an authorized use for the "Fund for the Improvement of Education."

In other news, PCEE’s Annual Report is now available online at www.pcee.org.  The 2007 report highlights the center’s intention to link more Pennsylvanians with environmental education resources.
