STRATEGIC VISION:

The Pennsylvania Center for Environmental Education is an integral part of the environmental community, linking professionals and private citizens with the tools and information that they need to have environmental education make a difference in both their lives and the well being of the planet.

MISSION:

PCEE serves the people of Pennsylvania by ensuring that valuable environmental education and information are readily accessible to them.  We link all Pennsylvanians with environmental resources.

GOALS:

PCEE will support and promote environmental education throughout the Commonwealth by:

1. Making quality EE resources and services readily available to all Pennsylvanians (including primary and secondary school teachers, institutions of higher education, providers of non-formal environmental education, agriculture, businesses, non-profit environmental organizations, local units of government and private citizens);
2. Enhancing, promoting and complementing the effectiveness of existing EE programs;
3. Collaborating with and supporting other environmental education providers throughout Pennsylvania;
4. Identifying needs and trends to help inform environmental policy and educational program development;
5. Supporting the professional development of K-12 and non-formal environmental educators; and
6. Identifying new and ongoing streams of financial support to fund the work of PCEE and its partners.
