Position Title: VISTA Worker

Position Location: Slippery Rock, PA

Program Benefits:

Member Duties :

• Activity 1: Research feasibility of non-formal EE certification for PA.
  • Step 1: Review, summarize relevant research, studies or articles on non-formal EE certification.
  • Step 2: Interview experts and practitioners. Identify best practices.
  • Step 3: Present findings to PAEE, PCEE for review and modification.
• Activity 2: Working with PAEE and PCEE, broadly survey the target groups.
  • Step 1: Develop/ deliver survey instruments for administrators,pre-service educators, Environmental Educators.
  • Step 2: Summarize the survey results, including suggestions for the development, content and implementation of the proposed certification program.
• Activity 3: Using national best practices and input from PA partners, develop an implementation plan for non-formal EE certification in PA.
  • Step 1: Develop proposed standards, cost and marketing.
  • Step 2: Develop instructional materials.
  • Step 3: Develop a proposal for certification renewals.
